Inside People's Eyes
Inside People's Eyes
The first thing I look
in people is at their eyes.
I can see all
inside people's eyes,
for the eyes can never tell a lie.
Your eyes, for example
show me excitement;
when I'm by your side
they show youth,
mischief and they also
show sadness.
They show mysteriousness.
They show tenderness.
They even show magic,
like the magic I see in yours now.
They show caring.
They show me love.
They also show lust
passion and plenty of joy.
Sweetness,
I also find
in these eyes
I see,
but there are sometimes pain,
sarcasm or irony,
envy, anger, or jealousy,
inside eyes of people I meet.
But not in you.
Not in your eyes.
Inside them there is goodness,
and perfection.
But maybe I have turned blind
by staring
so much at you.
Inside your eyes I see heaven,
filled with peacefulness and a bright sky
glaring down at me and in my eyes.
And all I can say is,
let me shine into your eyes!
